What is the Girl Goals Summer Program?
Girl Goals is a fun, educational summer program designed for girls in grades K–8 that focuses on confidence building, leadership, creativity, and exploration through themed weekly activities, workshops, and field trips.
When does the program run?
The program runs during the summer months for multiple themed weeks. Families may register for individual weeks or multiple weeks, depending on availability.
What are the program hours? Is there a late fee for late pickup?
Typical program hours are:
Monday – Friday
Morning drop-off: 8:00am
Program hours: 8am – 5pm
Pick-up: 5:00pm
It is extremely important to pick up your daughter on time by 5pm. We understand that emergencies occur. Any late pick ups after 5:10pm will incur a late of $1 for every minute.
Where is the program located?
The Girl Goals Summer Program is held at International High School, 200 Grand Street, Paterson, New Jersey.
Who can attend?
The program is open to girls entering Kindergarten through 8th Grade.
What types of activities will the girls participate in?
Each week features a different theme, which may include:
- STEM & Science activities
- Leadership & entrepreneurship workshops
- Arts & crafts
- Cooking experiences
- Community service
- Team building activities
- Field trips
- Guest speakers
Are field trips included? Should girls wear their Program T-Shirt Everyday?
Yes! Many weeks include educational and fun field trips such as Laurelwood Arboretum, visit from a Professional Chef, Madame Tussaud, P-Tech Planetarium, Statue of Liberty, Pennington Park, and a Local Paterson Restaurant Experience.
Yes! Girls are encouraged to wear their program t-shirt everyday. Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $12 on our registration portal.
What is the cost of the program?
Program cost is $115 per week and includes all program activities, meals and snacks. The one-time program enrollment fee is $100.

Can I register for only certain weeks?
Yes! Families may register for specific weeks that work best for their schedule, as long as the week is still open.
Can I change my selected week?
Yes. If space is available, you may transfer your child to another week as long as the original week has not yet started.
What should my child bring each day?
Girls should bring:
- A packed lunch if preferred ( Breakfast & Lunch is provided everyday through Paterson Public Schools Summer Meals Program)
- A reusable filled water bottle
Any required items for special activity days (families will be notified in advance)
Will snacks be provided?
Light snacks may be provided every day
How will parents receive updates?
Parents will receive:
- Weekly newsletters through email
- Important announcements & photos throughout the day will be sent through WhatsApp
Who runs the program?
The program is led by experienced youth development professionals and staff under the Andre Sayegh Civic Association, with a focus on empowering girls through education, leadership, and community engagement.
