After more than a decade, the Cub Scouts have returned to Paterson. In 2025, Sayegh Civic led a a city-wide initiative to recruit boys from every neighborhood and school in Paterson, creating opportunities for children in Grades 1-4 (and growing) to explore and learn.
We hosted parent meetings to share the excitement and vision of the program, helping families understand the values and experiences Cub Scouts provide. Every meeting included refreshments to ensure our young scouts stayed nourished and energized.

Additionally, we coordinated summer scholarships for scouts to attend Camp YawPaw in Mahwah, ensuring every boy had the opportunity to experience outdoor adventures and personal growth.
Our Cub Scouts are now gearing up for the first Paterson Pinewood Derby in nearly two decades! The Pinewood Derby is an exciting event where scouts design, build, and race their own small wooden cars, testing creativity, craftsmanship, and sportsmanship.
