Wellpoint, in partnership with the Andre Sayegh Civic Association, is proud to announce the Paterson Impact Grant Program—designed to empower local nonprofits and community leaders who are making a meaningful difference across Paterson and surrounding communities
Empowering Grassroots Change
Through this initiative, grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 will support innovative, grassroots projects that:
Grants may fund social, cultural, recreational, or other community-related initiatives. Please note that funds cannot be used for purely religious activities, to support campaigns for elected office, or for capital expenses such as acquiring real property or buildings or making significant improvements to property. Wellpoint and the Civic Association reserve the right to approve, modify, or deny any application.
Eligibility & How to Apply
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, or faith-based organizations working to improve the Paterson community.

Applications for Winter 2026 have now closed
Reporting Requirements
At the conclusion of the funded project, grantees will submit a brief report including:
- How funds were used
- Number of people served
- Positive outcomes achieved
- Success stories highlighting community impact
Wellpoint and the Sayegh Civic Association reserve the right to audit expenses and fund usage.

About the Andre Sayegh Civic Association
The Andre Sayegh Civic Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the Greater Paterson area through civic engagement, community partnerships, and local leadership. We create opportunities for residents to connect, grow, and lead.
Our initiatives include:
- Cub Scout Pack: Engaging youth and parents in service and leadership
- Girl Goals Summer Program: An eight-week initiative inspiring future leaders
- MLS GO Partnership: Bringing a local soccer league that drives community pride and participation
- Community Support Programs: Providing food and toys during the holidays, winter coats, and other essential resources to assist Paterson’s most vulnerable residents
- Neighborhood Heroes Support: Funding and partnering with small, local nonprofit initiatives led by dedicated community leaders who are making a difference in their neighborhoods
Through these and other efforts, the Association fosters unity, empowerment, and progress across Greater Paterson.
